Everything you're wondering, answered
Straight answers about how mobile oil service works. Can't find yours? Call or text 817-521-0932 and a real person will answer.
How much does an oil change cost?
Standard vehicles (4 to 6 quarts) are $99 flat. Large engines (7 to 9 quarts) are $110, European vehicles are $130, and diesels (10 to 15 quarts) and toys start at $150. Every price includes the full Complete Rocket Service, and fleet pricing is available by phone.
When are you open?
Friday and Saturday, 7am to 11pm right now. Book at least 12 hours ahead: for a Friday 7am appointment, that means booking by Thursday evening.
What areas do you cover?
We're based in Rogersville and serve all of Hawkins County plus surrounding areas. A little outside that? Call 817-521-0932 and we'll see what we can do.
Do I need to be there during the service?
No. As long as we can get to the vehicle, you're free to be anywhere. Most folks hand off the keys or leave the car unlocked in the driveway, and we text when we're done.
Who will actually be doing the work?
Every oil change is done by Chance Rich, the owner. Rocket's is owner-operated, so the person who answers your call or text is the same person who services your vehicle. No rotating techs, and no subcontractors.
How do I know you'll show up when you say?
We text to confirm your appointment, again when we're on the way, and once more when the job is done. We keep our time windows tight, and if anything ever changes on our end you'll hear from us first at 817-521-0932. Showing up on time is the whole reason this service exists.
Is there a travel or trip fee?
Not within Hawkins County. The posted price covers us coming to you. Outside the county a small travel fee applies. Call 817-521-0932 first and we'll quote it before you book.
What oil do you use? Is synthetic included?
Full-synthetic oil is our standard, included in the flat price: the right grade and viscosity for your engine, from quality name brands. European vehicles get their manufacturer-approved oils, toys get the OEM oil and filters they call for, and if an older engine genuinely calls for conventional oil, we'll bring that instead.
Do you do repairs or other maintenance?
No, we focus on one thing and do it well: oil changes. If we notice something during a visit we'll point it out honestly, but we'll never invent a problem or push a repair.
How long does the service take?
Most vehicles take about 30 minutes. Diesels and large engines run closer to 45. We text when we're on the way and again when the job is done.
Will there be any mess in my driveway?
No. We use containment mats and sealed drain equipment, and we haul the used oil and filter away for recycling. Your driveway looks exactly like we found it.
What if you spot something else wrong with my vehicle?
We'll tell you honestly, but we don't do repair upsells. You decide what to do next and who does it.
How do I pay?
Card or cash, on the spot, after the work is done. Nothing is charged when you book.
Can you come to my work, gym, or job site?
Yes. Any spot where the vehicle can be safely parked with a few feet of working room. Add parking notes when you book and we'll handle the rest.
What about ATVs, side-by-sides, and motorcycles?
We service those too, starting at $150. OEM oil and filters may require advance scheduling, so book a few days out if you can.
What if it rains?
Light rain is no problem. In severe weather we'll text you to reschedule at no charge, usually for the next available day.
Do you work on leased or warrantied vehicles?
Yes. We use manufacturer-spec oil and filters, and we'll write up a receipt for your maintenance records whenever you need one for lease or warranty documentation.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Rescheduling is always free. Just call or text and we'll find you another slot. If you need to cancel outright rather than reschedule, a small cancellation fee may apply, and we'll always tell you the amount up front.
Do you offer fleet or business service?
Yes. We service work trucks and vans on-site around your schedule, with fleet pricing quoted by phone. See the fleet page for details.
Question answered? Let's get you scheduled.
Booking takes about a minute, and rescheduling is always free.
